Freshman English
Some assignments will be posted in Google Classroom. The invitation code is located on the tab.
Vocabulary words will be on the board every Friday except for holidays, schedule changes, etc. The ten words need to be looked up and recorded in the student's spiral notebook by the following Thursday for credit. They can not be turned in late because we will discuss them in class to prepare for the vocabulary test on Friday.
Student grades will be based on the following: daily homework assignments, in-class assignments, vocabulary tests, unit tests, quizzes, projects including the Mythology Project, class/group participation, presentations, and the literary notebook.
This notebook counts 25% of the 2nd 9-week's grade and is an accumulation of handouts and writing samples from the beginning of the course which students are asked to keep, so it can not be turned in late, and the requirements and deadline for the notebook will be updated and found under the Literary Notebook tab.
